Mary Huntley, CFP®

By virtue of being Tom's daughter, Mary grew up learning financial planning. In 2002 she officially joined the firm: a college graduate with a biology degree, earning minimum wage, filing quarterly reports. She earned her Series 7 securities registration in 2002. Nepotism in the firm was not permitted, so Tom and his partners at the time had Mary build her own business. In 2014, Mary became a firm partner.

Mary is passionate about financial planning. Her clients become friends and family to her. She and the Cambium team have developed processes to help guide people through the many complex decisions in life- from welcoming a new family member to burying an aged parent and everything in between.

Mary graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO with a B.A. Biology where she was also a Pryor Leadership Fellow. She became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 2008. She currently holds Securities registrations: 7,24,63,65, and holds her Life, Health and Variable Insurance Licenses. She is a Registered Representative with Independent Financial Group, Inc. where she has ranked among their top female advisors.

One of Mary's hobbies is mentoring through leadership. She has been involved with leadership at different levels, starting in the local Gifted program in elementary school, and has concertedly pursued understanding and developing leadership within herself and others since that time. She has been a student of Arizona's Center for Rural Leadership (Project CENTRL). Mary spent pre-child years coaching and mentoring high school youth.

Mary is an Arizona native and has served and continues to serve on various local public and private boards. In the past she served on the Camp Verde Chamber of Commerce, YES the ARC, Yavapai County Industrial Authority, Flagstaff's STEM City, Zoning and Ordinance Review Committees, Yavapai County Community Foundation, and the Arizona Community Foundation of Flagstaff.

She currently serves on the NAU Foundation Investment Committee.

Mary has 2 children, Tanner and Elaina. She enjoys being outside with them in nature, their favorite place.
