Charlie Taylor, Founder
In his 51 years in the financial services industry, Charlie Taylor has seen the business through amazing changes but one constant remains: helping clients achieve personal and financial goals. He is indebted to many who made significant contributions along the way; specifically, two special people - his brother Tom Taylor and his partner Jodi Padgett, who has worked with him for 37 of the 51 years. Charlie never dreamed that this firm would become the firm that it has.
Charlie was born in Flagstaff the summer of 1942. He is proud to say that he is an Arizona native and the son of a native. Charlie graduated from Prescott High School in 1960. In 1964, he received his B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University. And that summer, married his wife Diana Rahe. They were blessed with two sons, Chuck and Sam.
Charlie is a proud Army Veteran and during his time in combat, was awarded two Bronze Stars for valor and was wounded twice, receiving two Purple Hearts. As the Vietnam war ramped up, Charlie enlisted in the Army and attended Officers Candidate School. In December of 1966, he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Infantry. During his time in Vietnam, he served with Bandido Charlie -- Company C , 5th Battalion / 60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division. In his 12 months with the company, he served as a platoon leader, Company Executive Officer and Company Commander. In December 1968, Charlie was released from the Army and January of 1969 entered the financial services industry; becoming insurance and securities licensed. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
Charlie and his wife Diana have enjoyed traveling over the years – visiting all 50 states and more than 30 countries. In his emeritus status, they hope to spend more time in their second home in Nicaragua.
